Word 5.0 files lose their format when they are put on web sites unless you first convert them into Word 6.0

I have a back up computer with Windows 95 and Word 6.0.  I copy a Word 5.0 file onto an a: diskette, then stick it in the back up computer.  Then use  Save As . . Word Document   A:    . and it will convert it to a Word 6.0  which will retain its format when it is put on a web site.
