we were able to out run them.

before the 1988 fire
medium print 16x24; with frame 22x30
The nature worshippers in the federal bureaucracy deliberately let the 1988 fire burn out of control on the theory that nature knows best and many of Yellowstone's grandest scenes, like the Madison River Canyon, were devastated. But, not to worry, they'll be back good as new in 200 years. Unless they have more fires. Meanwhile, we have a few old photos to remember what it once looked like.

Little Firehole sept 1971
(before the 1988 fire )
This little island of trees survived the 1988 fire but the forest was burned all the way in along the trail. It is now a thicket of scrub pine and snags. It will take 200 years for the big trees to come back.

Pictures are printed with Epson Ultrachrome pigment-based inks which are very durable, guaranteed to last for 100 years and 1 day. If it doesn't, come and see me for full refund. At sundown on the last day, the picture disappears into another dimension along with anyone who is in the room at the time. You may find yourself in the place where the picture was taken.
pictures are laminated; dust can be removed with a damp cloth
pictures as shown on the web site are low resolution jpeg files;
in real life, my pictures are clearer.

I guarantee the picture against any defect in materials or workmanship for one year. And, if you don't like living with the picture, you may return it. A picture on the wall is a window into the world. It lets you leave the house in any weather without going out the door. It is a reminder of all the nice places which are still out there. I grew up in Colorado and spent my summers on my grandfather's ranch in Wyoming and in Yellowstone Park where my father was post master at Old Faithful for 14 summers. And we used to take trips into Montana and Idaho. Gas was cheap. So, after I spent a lot of money on the equipment which is necessary to produce good quality large pictures, I set out to revisit the places I remember and preserve them in pictures as best I can.
